Ithaca Gun Co M-66 Super Single 410 Bore Shotgun
A 12% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final Sales Price. All applicable taxes will be assessed based on the sum of the sales price and buyer's premium.
Near very good condition single shot lever action top break shotgun. 26" barrel, smooth bore appears to be clean, shiny, and bright. The bluing on the barrel appears to be in excellent condition, near 99% with some very light pitting and maybe some very light surface rust. It has a black painted finish the receiver and lever that have some scratches and wear. The hammer and trigger have some surface rust. The lever action top break is smooth & easy and opens and closes properly. It has a two piece walnut stocks with a darker honey finish, dings, bangs, and scuffs from age and use. There are no chips or cracks. It has an original Ithaca Gun Co. hard rubber/plastic buttplate. The gun overall is tight. This would be a great piece to add to your hunting gear, collection, or arsenal!!
Due to age, Consult a gunsmith: If you are unsure about the firearm's safety, have it inspected by a qualified gunsmith to assess its condition.
- Production Dates: Manufactured from 1963 to 1979 across all gauges, with the .410 caliber specifically introduced in 1966.
- Action: Break-open action. Instead of a traditional top-lever, it uses a unique side lever behind the trigger guard.
- Chambering: Designed specifically for .410 bore shells, typically featuring a 3-inch chamber.
- Weight: Extremely lightweight (varies between 5 to 6 lbs depending on the gauge).
- Stock: Generally features walnut or honey-colored wood, with a standardized youth version also produced.
- Variants: Standard Grade, Youth Grade, and the "Buckbuster" (a slug gun variant introduced later in production).
- Action Type: Single-shot lever action break-open design.
- Lever Function: The lever under the grip acts strictly as a release mechanism to break open the action, rather than cycling shells like a standard lever-action rifle.
- Hammer: Exposed external hammer that must be manually cocked before each shot.
- Receiver: Manufactured from a lightweight, black-finished aluminum alloy.
- Stock & Forend: Typically paired with straight-grained hardwood furniture.
- Chambering: 3-inch shell chambering, highly effective for pest control, youth training, and small game hunting.
